    1. You can check the current status of the next chapter located on the sidebar. If you're viewing on mobile, I'm not sure if it appears, probably not I would guess. But to answer your question I'm still quite awhile away from finishing. Real life is quite the drag on a casual translation project such as mine. Give it about 2-3 weeks if I actually get the time to focus on it. Otherwise expect as long as 5 weeks.

    2. Well, I know how hard it is to translate a light novel because I'm also translating one into my country language so don't mean any rush though, just want to know if you still do it or not

    3. Let me guess, you're translating the wonderful story 'An Otome Game’s Burikko Villainess Turned into a Magic Otaku' into your native language, Canadian.

    4. I'm Asian though, not Canadian, and yeah I do translate it and other light novels. =))

I saw that you mentioned here about not wanting your work on Baka-Tsuki, you do know that on BT you can just have links towards you're website instead right? And that your text doesn't actually have to be hosted there.
    Example: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Sayonara_Piano_Sonata
I think for publicities sake it would be best to do so as I only just found out about this site today after wishing so long for this translations.
Nonetheless thanks for what you're doing.

    1. Thanks for your comment. For that option to simply be linked on Baka-Tsuki, I can consider it. However I won't be making a decision on that until I get at least chapter 2 out which shouldn't be taking too long.

    2. It also seems someone jumped the gun, though they're doing Chinese to English translations apparently. I was seriously considering this option up until I saw that.

  3. i dont know how much it might help you but there is an indonesian translation idk why on bakatsuki and you could use the translate to english option on google chrome with that tho idk how much it would really help since obviously its gonna sound like broken english unless its reworded a bit but the general context would be there.

    1. I am strictly doing Japanese to English translations. There isn't much point in translating otherwise if I'm simply to use machine translations from a language that isn't even the original source. Besides, the author's writing style for SaeKano is rather unorthodox Japanese, which is to say, there's a significant amount of nuance and subtlety which will be lost in translation. Expressing these sentences in English is rather difficult without compromising heavily, and that is not something I wish to do. Translation may be slow as a result, but for me personally, I do not wish to compromise on quality if I can help it.

  5. Lel actually this morning just checked status of chap 2 and when i saw the 100% i kept F5 all day xDDD so in short, is it readable? i mean you said it is in its beta so, do you think something will change from the last editing???

    1. Yes it's readable. There may be some subtle changes to wording, but this is basically the finished if not completely polished and shiny product.

  6. I found this group, Unnammed Translation, also translating the LN. However, there are parts of chapter 1 they just released exactly the same as your translation (it's not even paraphrasing). Are you part of the group?

    1. No I am not part of that group. The more troubling issue is, I was very much considering linking my translations onto Baka-Tsuki however they seem to have jumped the gun before I could start communicating. If they are plagiarising my work...there's even more reason to be concerned.

  7. How many light novel volumes were adapted in the anime?
